BURLINGTON, Mass. January 26, 2021 -- Wellforce today announced it has hired Joanne Marqusee as the organization’s Chief Integration Officer. Marqusee is currently the CEO of Cooley Dickinson Health Care, which is a Mass General affiliate. At Wellforce, Marqusee will be responsible for developing and enhancing system-wide services to support operational excellence and growth. Wellforce includes Tufts Medical Center, Circle Health and MelroseWakefield Healthcare.

Marqusee, a graduate of Cornell University and the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, is well-known and highly-respected throughout Massachusetts. She began her tenure as Cooley Dickinson’s CEO in 2014. Prior to that, she was COO of MelroseWakefield Healthcare (formerly Hallmark Health) and spent 16 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she consistently was promoted to positions of greater responsibility, including VP of Access; VP of Ancillary, Support and Community Services; and SVP of Operations.

Wellforce is comprised of four community hospital campuses, an academic medical center, a children’s hospital, home care and more than 2,000 physicians across Eastern Massachusetts. The innovative care model focuses on bringing complex, high-quality and high value health care to community settings.
Marqusee is a board member of the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association, and on the steering committee of Extraordinary Women Advancing Health Care. In addition to her roles in Massachusetts, Marqusee previously worked for the New York State Department of Health in the Division of Health Care Financing, the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, and the New York City Office of the Mayor.
